TREE PLANTING
PREDA ProFairTrade planted a total 2,000 mango saplings to 14 aeta communities. EEstablishment of Three (3) pilot areas for coconut-coffee integrated farming was also done and 5,000 coconut and 5,000 coffee seedlings. The project will protect the environment and will also be a source of income for the aeta communities.
WATER SYSTEM PROJECT
84 Aeta families ( 361 individuals) living in 6 aeta communities in Zambales province are enjoying clean potable water . A total of 13 jetmatic handpumps and 1 water system was installed. The project is in prtnership with Misereor Germany, Free The Children and Toto foundation Japan.
EDUCATIONAL ASSISTANCE
Preda is committed in uplifting the lives of mango farmers and one strategy is providing educational assistance. Components are provision of educational bag, school supplies, uniform and transportation allowance to 78 children of mango farmers.
SOLAR LIGHTS
Preda in Partnership with KADISIG Foundation distributed Special Solar Lights to isolated Aeta communities where there is no electricity. This will help the children in studying during night time.
ORGANIC MANGO CERTIFICATION
In preparation for organic mango certificatin, Preda conducted series of training for internal inspectors and mango farmers.
On September 17-25, 2013 Organic Certification center of the Philippines (OCCP), Organic Certification of Thailand (ACT) conducted its first inspection visit. Second Inspection is set on April 2014.

NETWORKING
Preda is continouosly participating in the networking activities with different partner NGO’s and working together for a common mission that responses to the needs of the most vulnerable sector of the society.
MEDICAL MISSION
PREDA facilitated the medical mission conducted at Alibang aeta community in Subic, Zambales benefiting 30 families of less than 150 individuals. This is in partnership with Pfizer medical company.
ADVOCACY AGAINST DESTRUCTIVE MINING
Preda Executive member, staff and youth groups participated in different rallies against destructive mining. One of the event was done during the Earth Day celebration held infront of the Provincial Capitol and another rally was participated in the most affected mining town, in Sta. Cruz, Zambales where town proper itself is suffocated with dust from Nickel.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONCERN
Preda Youth Leader and staff attended in the National Bio-Diversity Conservation consultation held in Baguio City. The consultation gave way for the youth to have knowledge and be part of the Bio-diversity conservation.
COMMUNITY ACTIVITY PARTICIPATION
Preda activity includes participation in aeta community consultation, general assembly, trainings and meetings as facilitator, mediator and observer. This is part of empowerment of the aetas.
