On behalf of all the members of the Preda Fair Trade I send our deepest sympathy and condolences to the family of Klaus Wöldecke and share our loss with our friends and supporters among the members of the World Shop Association. Weltladen-Dachverband e.V. Mainz .
Klaus’s passing is a great loss to all of us in this world. He has been a pioneer in building up the network and association of World Shops across Germany. This World Shops Association is benefiting thousands of small-scale producers in the developing world.
His great work for the poor will live on long after him. What he has achieved for those less fortunate in this world is better more prosperous life and his work and life is a shining example of love and care for humanity and the environment. There are not many people like Klaus his friendly good humor cheered up so many and his enthusiasm encouraged others to do more good work for the cause of Fair Trade.
His spirit on lives with us, every time we see our products in a World Shop we know that in some way Klaus helped to put it there.
Klaus, The children and Preda FairTrade team will plant a mango tree in your memory. The children will circle it and hold hands and we will remember the good that you have done to give them a better life.
That tree will grown, bear fruit to nourish the children and the people. So too will your work continue to strengthen many through FairTrade and the World shops.
We are with you Klaus and you are still with us.
