Gala Aeta’s Form Organic Mango Farmers Association
Empowerment bloomed in Subic, Zambales, as 26 Gala Aeta farmers united on February 1st. Guided by Preda Fairtrade Project Officers Donardo Angeles and Roger Hermogino, they formed the “Gala Organic Mango Farmers Association,” a beacon of self-determination and sustainable agriculture.
This association isn’t just a name; it’s a shield for land rights, a voice for fairer prices, and a commitment to organic practices. Choosing “Organic” reflects their respect for the land and pursuit of a healthier future.
The journey ahead requires support. Capacity building in organic farming, financial management, and marketing is crucial. Fair trade markets and community development initiatives are key to their success.
The Gala Organic Mango Farmers Association is a testament to collaboration and hope. By supporting them, we can help this hope blossom into a flourishing reality, one organic mango at a time.
